New Season 2026/27!
The 2026/27 Season begins with a return to the Salzburg Festival with Hans Werner Henze’s Der Prinz von Homburg in August. In September, Gabriel returns to the Mainz State Theater to reprise Papageno in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte.
The Season continues with a series of major role debuts in Mainz: the title role in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Robert Oppenheimer in John Adams’s Doctor Atomic, and Harlekin in Richard Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos.
On the concert stage, appearances include Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, with performances in Luxembourg and at the Leipzig Gewandhaus.
